Guillaume Beaudoin is a cinematographer, a photographer and a director based in Montreal. He began filming sports in the early 2000. After winning a video contest in 2008 he started his career as a freelance director of photography. Guillaume has photographed and directed projects in more than 30 countries, from music videos to commercial films, documentary projects and TV shows. Regardless of the type of assignment, his goal as Director of Photography is to create images that will not only tell the story, but that will wake up the viewer's intuition on a subtle way.
His aerial filming started in para-motors and helicopters years before drones existed. He cumulates thousands of hours of drone flights in more than 20 countries. From the Great Pyramids to the tribes of Vanuatu or the very challenging offshore aerial filming, his efficiency to get the shot goes unsurpassed. His skills operating a drone with finesse in a stressful situation is what make him stand apart. Regardless of the type of assignment, he consistently delivers images carrying the essence of the project in an creative way.
Guillaume has been working as an underwater cinematographer for TV5 Monde for the last two years. He completed more than 100 dives always surpassing himself coming back with creative photography as he was filming humpback whales, bull sharks or going macro on night dives.
